Begin your day with a truly ethical elephant experience at Maerim Elephant Sanctuary, set in the peaceful Mae Rim jungle, just 45 minutes from Chiang Mai city.

This carefully designed half-day program allows you to spend genuine, unhurried time with rescued elephants in a natural environment with no riding, no chains, and no performances.

After morning pick-up, you will change into traditional mahout clothing before meeting the elephants. Feed them by hand, learn about their individual stories and natural behaviors, and gain a deeper understanding of elephant care and welfare.

Enjoy a relaxing mud spa and bathing experience as the elephants cool down and play freely a highlight for both the elephants and our guests. Every activity follows ethical practices and is guided by experienced local caretakers who prioritize the elephants’ well-being above all else.
