Buatong is a lively 21-year-old female elephant who radiates intelligence and playfulness. Rescued from a circus, she has adapted remarkably well to her new life at our sanctuary, showcasing both her delightful personality and her remarkable smarts.

Buatong possesses a unique ability to communicate with her caretakers. When we call her name, she responds with cheerful noises, displaying an understanding and bond that deepens our connection with her each day. It’s a joy to engage with such an intelligent creature who brings so much energy to our sanctuary.

Mango is Buatong’s absolute favorite food, and watching her delightfully devour this sweet treat is a sight to behold! Aside from enjoying delicious meals, Buatong loves to unwind in the mud baths, where you can often find her laying down and luxuriating in the cool, soothing mud.

Her playful spirit shines during her downtime as she rolls around and splashes about, reminding us all of the importance of play and relaxation. Buatong’s joyful antics evoke smiles and laughter, making every visit a memorable one.
